I am a genderqueer non-binary trans person. I was raised in evangelical fundamentalist Christo-fascism; I was homeschooled and graduated early and didn’t get a chance to discover my queerness, or new ways of existing and believing and functioning in the world until beginning around my late 20s. (I don’t use the phrase Christo-fascism lightly.)
I’ve trained as a death doula and am preparing to be able to do work in the future as a deathworker and griefworker. I write about death and death-adjacent things fairly often.
I am a practicing pagan, training in the Path of Light tradition under my elder in Renewal Coven. Path of Light is an obscure oathbound lineaged mystery tradition, and I like to write about my experiences in my learning and growth from time to time.
I am part of an intentional community, a family I chose to be part of, which I also love to write about. We are fancy neurodivergent people who already have a family name — House Wayreth — and a family crest because we are Extra Interesting. We don’t have a family website right now but we do sometimes use our substack, our Facebook page, and our Instagram account.
I am discovering that so many of my favorite things come with fandoms, another thing I didn’t know I could be part of until recently. My current special interests include music and song lyrics, kpop (and jpop and tpop), K-dramas, Thai BL dramas (and many other Asian BL dramas), and so many different kinds of queer media.
I am traveling the world, in a slow and introverted way. Most of my family and I have left the US for now, and our end goal is to buy a big house in Ireland and live there. In the meantime, we make plans and shift with the changing world as needed and we find each other and visit other places as we’re able. Right now I am in Thailand on holiday.
The overlap in my identities plus the fact that we are all traveling right now means that anything I want to share about my travels is going to be vague, unless it’s secure (think e2ee [end to end encryption]). IT’S NOT PARANOIA IF THEY’RE ACTUALLY OUT TO GET ME
Despite my personal safety restrictions, I do goof around online a lot, and I’m regularly on Threads about kpop, BLs, and whatever bullshittery is happening at the moment, I’m on Instagram sharing unhinged content to my stories, sometimes I’m on Bluesky talking about BLs, and I am on Mastodon every so often because some of my people only hang out there.
